Cold January Winds
My oh my how I feel a chill, it's not a thrill to feel this chill, but be it's God's will, I'm in for the deal, Oh!, how
I hate a January chill. Gray skies, naked trees, all the land in a deep frozen sleep, doesn't it make you want to weep, now
that the cold January winds are here, I listen to their whispers, as they chill me to the bone. Oh! how I hate to be alone
on a cold January morn. So take a crip for the cold Winter nights are so cold and crisp.
Snow, Ice, Sleet, and Rain, their icy kisses on your face, to bad it can't feel like lace and have the grace to embrace
the whole human race, Oh!, how the joy can reside in a place deep inside, I don't know why, oh!, please tell me it's not a
lie, or I should die, in dier disgrace, never more to feel your embrace. I don't know if it shows just how much I hate to
be alone and wait to hear the frighting sounds, like that of howling hounds those pounding Ice chilling sounds of the cold
January winds.
On cold January nights with the fires burning bright, come bring a smile and stay awhile and warm yourself by the bight
flames of my fire while we conspire, to go even higher than the fire. The flames of Red and Gold, Oh!, how many stories can
be told as the flames dance to and fro, oh!, what a beautiful glow on the snow of purest White, kissed only by the delicate
flakes of fancy lace, Oh!, how soft they feel when they touch your face, those flakes of fancy lace.
The sun shinning through the clearest Ice reflects like the brightest stars on a very cold Winter's night, ah, what a
sight, when the stars turn on their lights, Oh!, my how the Heavens become so bright. When the cold January winds start knocking
at your door, oh dear, can you hear their roar from hill and moor, oh!, the poor and lonely moon watching from the start the
pounding of my frightened heart. So warm inside, so cold outside, Now there's nothing left I can do but sit here by this warm
fire and look outside and see the Cold January winds.
